Lamp restoration

This huge stained glass lamp shade was salvaged from a London train station. It had sustained severe damage to one side with smashed glass and the lead work had been badly pushed in, the brass collar had detached from the top of the glass shade.
Replacement using period glass was carried out, re-coppering and soldering the dented section, rebuilding to the same spec as the original and repairing and reinforcing the cap collar to take the weight of the heavy glass.
